General Information About Our Programs and School

Our Programing

Our programs are all “learn though play”. We also incorporate Animated Literacy and Handwriting without Tears. More information about the specific programs can be found on their individual pages.  Below are a few general points about the school.

Volunteer Requirements

The school is “Parent-operated” and there is no paid staff other than the teachers. The school is run by the Executive Board of Directors, which is comprised of parent volunteers. Without parent volunteers the school would not exist. Please see the volunteer section of our website for more information.

There are several other volunteer roles within the school, and more information on these can be found in the volunteer section of our website.

Each family is required to work 1 bingo during the school year. Dates are selected at the beginning of the year. Parents who take on other volunteer roles within the school will be the first to be exempted from work a bingo.

We do several fundraisers throughout the year, and expect families to participate in at least one.

We do NOT have parent duty days.

Snacks

There is a small snack time each day, and parents are expected to send one small, healthy snack for their child each day. Please note that our school is NUT FREE and products that say “May contain traces of nuts” are not acceptable for school snacks.

Class Sizes

There is a maximum of 16 students in each class, with 2 full time teachers.
